His remarks were made almost three months after the Oct. 7 attack in Israel by Hamas militants resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,200 Israelis. The death toll from Israel's retaliatory attacks in Gaza has now reached 22,600 people, as reported by the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry.

The conflict in Gaza has caused deep rifts among the American public, leading to a noticeable increase in online hate speech targeting both Jewish and Muslim communities, some of which has resulted in actual acts of violence.

Protests and debates across college campuses and corporate America have led to some individuals losing their jobs or facing threats. In response to a question about the well-being of his Jewish colleagues, Altman expressed his belief that antisemitism is an increasing issue and thanked those in the industry who have supported him.

Altman continued: "i see much less of that for muslims."
