Special Agent Nina Chase from FBI: Most Wanted already has a baby in a carriage, but fans are wondering if she will ever marry Special Agent Stuart Scola.
Actress Shantel VanSanten hinted that a wedding between Nina Chase and Stuart Scola in the FBI universe could be on the horizon.
VanSanten, 38, teased that the season 5 Most Wanted finale, airing on Tuesday, May 21, is going to be a significant event. She hinted at something big happening but kept the details under wraps.
Adding to the mystery, VanSanten dropped a clue about an onscreen wedding. She mentioned that rain on a big day like a wedding is considered lucky according to superstitions. It symbolizes renewal, a fresh start, fertility, and unity.
Fans first met Nina, played by VanSanten, in season 4 of FBI. This is also when she started dating Scola. In season 5 of the show, which aired in 2023, the on-screen couple became parents to a son named Dougie.
VanSanten revealed that Nina was originally meant to miscarry after getting a listeria infection during a crossover mission on FBI: International and FBI.

When the actress started working on Most Wanted full time for its fifth season, which premiered in February, the baby's fate took a different turn.
VanSanten recently shared with TVLine that the outcome for Nina and Dougie was uncertain. She mentioned, "It was only because I got the job on Most Wanted that Dougie gets to exist, which is strange to say, but that's how it works in show business."
Despite all the drama surrounding Nina's pregnancy, viewers didn't see much of Dougie after he was born. Nina's life as a mom with partner Scola, who is still part of the FBI universe, was a secret until the recent episode of Most Wanted.
In the episode that aired on April 9, fans discovered that Nina was having difficulty believing in her abilities as a good mom. She was in conflict with Scola, arguing about the baby items she had accumulated in their apartment while striving for perfection.
The two-part crossover will continue with a new season 6 episode of FBI on Tuesday, April 16. In the upcoming episode titled "Best Laid Plans", Scola and Nina will pose as an undercover married couple. Their mission is to collaborate in locating a murderer who is wanted for the killing of a retired FBI agent.
Actress VanSanten shared with TVLine her excitement for the follow-up episode, stating, “I would say we get to see Scolina like we’ve never seen them before — and they’ve never seen each other in this way, either! We get to ‘be on the job with them,’ let’s say that.”
FBI and FBI: Most Wanted air on CBS Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET. FBI: International airs in between the two shows at 9 p.m. ET.
