Fast X star Sung Kang has defended the controversial "Justice for Han" storyline in the latest installment of the franchise. In a deep dive into the concept of justice, Kang sheds light on the meaning behind the storyline and how it plays out in the film. Fast X boasts the franchise's largest cast yet, including Kang's character, Han, who was revealed to be alive in F9 after his supposed death at the hands of Deckard Shaw (played by Jason Statham). In a recent interview with Insider, Kang defended Han's storyline in Fast X and his reunion with Shaw. While Kang teased that the "Justice for Han" campaign will continue to play out in future films, he also explained that justice for Han can take many forms, some of which have nothing to do with Shaw. Kang stated, "This theme of 'Justice for Han,' Han comes to see Deckard for justice. In 'Fast 9,' that's what it was set up as. What is that justice? Is it to pound on Deckard for 'killing' me? He didn't. Han and Mr. Nobody set up Deckard to fake my death, but Deckard did not know that. So I could go and hide and raise this adopted daughter of mine and be discreet."

"He believes that I am seeking revenge when I approach him, but in reality, my intention is to bring him into the fold and provide closure to the fans. Following the events of the eighth installment, many fans were left questioning why the individual responsible for the death of a beloved family member would be welcomed into the family circle. With Shaw now a member of Toretto's crew, it's become complicated to seek justice for Han's death by his hands, especially considering Shaw's violent past. However, Kang's suggestion that other characters could bring justice for Han is intriguing and provides an alternate resolution. A potential happy ending for Han could be his reunion with his former love, Gisele, who returns in Fast X after her apparent death in Fast & Furious 6. This outcome would be the best possible conclusion for Han's story.
