Fall Guys Collaborates with Surprising New Partner in Unbelievable Crossover

Fall Guys surprises players with an astonishing new crossover, introducing an unexpected intellectual property to the popular free-to-play Mediatonic game

The next crossover for Fall Guys is going to be a surprising one — Death Stranding. Fall Guys, a modern live service game, has already collaborated with popular franchises like Halo, Star Trek, and Sonic the Hedgehog. However, the upcoming collaboration with Death Stranding is expected to catch some players off guard.

Fall Guys was initially launched in August 2020, and soon after its release, Mediatonic, the developer of Fall Guys, partnered with Valve's Team Fortress 2. Later on, Mediatonic was acquired by Epic Games, and since then, each battle pass for Fall Guys has featured at least one significant intellectual property. Other collaborations also regularly appear in the in-game shop. Mediatonic has now hinted at the next successful game with an iconic protagonist that will be crossing over with Fall Guys.

The Fall Guys Twitter account recently announced exciting news about their upcoming collaboration with Death Stranding. In a cryptic post simply stating "BB," the accompanying screenshot revealed a Bean version of the iconic Bridge Baby from the Death Stranding storyline. While the character itself is not fully visible, it is strongly suggested that players will soon be able to equip a Sam Bridges skin, represented by the hand on either side of the BB pod. This Death Stranding crossover is scheduled to release in Fall Guys on July 18 as part of Season 4, which will continue into August.

Considering Death Stranding's inclusion in the ongoing Fall Guys Season 4, it is likely that cosmetics inspired by the IP will be available in the in-game shop. Following the pattern of previous seasons, players will have the option to purchase individual items or opt for a bundle that includes all of them at a discounted price. Originally a PlayStation exclusive, Death Stranding has expanded its reach to PC, indicating that this collaboration with Fall Guys may pave the way for future crossovers with popular games like Apex Legends, Fortnite, or Call of Duty: Warzone.

Fall Guys collaborates with various child-friendly IPs, such as SpongeBob SquarePants and Disney movies like Encanto, The Jungle Book, and Nightmare Before Christmas, as the game holds an "E for Everyone" ESRB rating. Surprising to some, Fall Guys also features crossovers with mature-rated titles like Death Stranding, following its trend of incorporating cosmetics inspired by games such as Assassin's Creed, Gears of War, Skyrim, and more.

You can play Fall Guys on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
