So far, Death Stranding has only collaborated with a limited number of franchises. It has been referenced as an Easter egg in various Sony exclusive titles like Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, and God of War Ragnarok, featuring small nods to the game. Death Stranding also contains Easter eggs from Horizon and has had a few crossover events. Additionally, when it launched on PC, Death Stranding had crossovers with Half-Life and Portal.

Death Stranding Could Show Up More In Other Games Now

Death Stranding not only collaborated with Half-Life but also crossed over with Cyberpunk 2077, offering players six missions to unlock exclusive items for Sam Porter Bridges. These items include V's facial markings and Johnny Silverhand's iconic glasses. Up until now, all of Death Stranding's collaborative events have been incorporated into the game as free add-ons or as part of the director's cut version. However, the recent integration of a Fall Guys skin for Sam Porter Bridges marks the first time another game has received substantial content from Death Stranding, which is now available at an additional cost.

The partnership between Death Stranding and Fall Guys could potentially revolutionize how the game is approached in relation to other titles. Epic Games, the renowned publisher and developer of Fortnite, which is one of the most popular games globally, further strengthens the possibility of a crossover between Fortnite and Death Stranding. This likelihood is amplified by the fact that Fall Guys incorporates numerous elements characteristic of the battle royale genre, despite Kojima expressing reservations about it previously.
