Luke’s alleged sex tape involving Isabella remains a topic of conversation in season 2 of the show Cruel Summer. In an exclusive preview of the upcoming episode airing on Monday, June 19, Megan's mother, Debbie, confronts Brent, Luke's brother, about his role in recording the private moment.

“I believe Brent should apologize to Isabella, as well as Luke,” Debbie (played by KaDee Strickland), who is in a relationship with Luke’s father, Steve (played by Paul Adelstein), voices during the tense dinner scene. “It would be appreciated if he showed genuine remorse.”
In reply, Brent (played by Braeden De La Garza) offers a detached apology, stating, “I apologize. What I did was wrong.”
Debbie and Megan (Sadie Stanley) express their disappointment with Brent's response to his mistakes. "Please continue," the high school student remarks before Steve interrupts them.
Set in winter 1999, this scene provides insight into the challenging dynamics following the release of a sex tape involving Luke (Griffin Gluck). While the entire town of Chatham believed Luke had betrayed Megan with her friend Isabella (Lexi Underwood), it was actually Megan who appeared in the video with her boyfriend.
The friendship between Megan and Isabella in Cruel Summer takes a tumultuous turn, leading to Luke's tragic death in the summer of 2000.
Stanley, 21, recently revealed that the cast of the show was completely unaware of the major revelations that were about to unfold.
“We were discovering new information as we received the scripts, unaware of the role our characters played in Luke's death. The events leading up to it were a mystery to us as well," she exclusively told We. "Our focus was primarily on understanding our characters, delving into their backgrounds, and understanding the motivations behind their actions."
Underwood, 19, hinted that viewers of Cruel Summer would be in for surprising twists as the drama unfolds further.
On Freeform, Cruel Summer is aired every Monday at 10 p.m.
