Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif shared insights into TikTok beauty trends, revealing which ones are worthwhile and which ones to avoid. Dubrow, 65, commended skin slugging as an effective way to seal in moisture by using Vaseline or a thick layer of lotion before bedtime. "Skin slugging is extremely effective," Dubrow, 65, told Us. "It locks in the moisture, preventing it from being absorbed by your sheets and pillowcases."

Dubrow suggested using moisturizer instead of petroleum jelly, but still praised the hack as "a good, good thing." He added, "Do it once, wake up in the morning, and your skin will look better than ever."

The experts then discussed the latest Hollywood trend: buccal fat removal, a procedure that hollows out the cheeks for a slimmer look. Despite its potential for a "snatched" appearance, Dubrow and 61-year-old Nassif are not supporters of the surgery.

Nassif and Dubrow strongly advise against buccal fat removal, warning that it may make the face look older in the long run. They recommend avoiding the procedure unless the individual has a very round face shape.

Nassif does not recommend trying the social media trend of slimming your nose by pinching it with clamps, citing concerns about blood flow supply and functionality. However, he suggests that manipulating the "thick skin" around the tip of the nose to create the appearance of a smaller nose for photos could be worth trying out.

According to Dubrow and Nassif, shaving off peach fuzz and dead skin cells from your face is an effective method of exfoliation that also allows for better penetration of skincare products.

Dubrow told Us that when it comes to creating temporary dimples by placing bottle caps inside of your cheeks and sucking, the doctors think "it's a little weird." He also mentioned, "It's no different than doing it with a filter, just as long as it doesn't cause any scarring or internal damage."

Lastly, Dubrow added that using lube as a makeup primer is perfectly OK.

He jokingly remarked to Us, "I don't see anything wrong with that. I believe that lube hydrates just as well down there as it does up here." He added, "Go ahead and lube it up, baby! Who knows, it might inspire and enhance other activities while you're at it."
