Quanxi, a perplexing character in Chainsaw Man, possesses great power. Naturally, fans are left wondering about her relationship to Denji and any possible connections between them. Though their conversations have been limited, they have been intriguing.
Quanxi leaves behind intriguing hints and enigmatic statements—her title as the 'first devil hunter' and her extraordinary abilities even without transformation. So, is she linked to Denji, the formidable Chainsaw Man? The answer is yes, but only to a small extent.

Quanxi makes her first appearance in Chainsaw Man's International Assassins arc. She is summoned to China with the mission of capturing the Chainsaw heart for her country. However, she agrees to fulfill this task only if her Fiend girlfriends are granted human rights once it is completed. Accompanied by her girlfriends, she travels to Japan where they cause some minor chaos before facing off against Public Safety.
Unfortunately, the attempt on Denji's life takes a disastrous turn due to the numerous assassins vying for him, particularly Santa Claus, the Devil Hunter. Through Santa Claus's manipulations, Quanxi, along with others, finds herself in hell, where she becomes a witness to the Darkness Devil. In no time, the Darkness Devil ruthlessly tears her apart.
However, even after being decapitated, she is resilient and quickly comes back to life. It is then revealed that she is a Hybrid, much like Denji, and possesses incredible speed. They briefly join forces to take down Santa Claus, which marks the first instance of a genuine conversation between her and Denji in the entire series.
She advises him to remain ignorant and embracing foolishness as a viable option. Surprisingly, this advice proves effective for Denji, but consistently backfires for Quanxi.
The hybrid and public safety connections

Quanxi and Denji's connection is primarily based on their shared identity as Hybrids, individuals who have the appearance of humans but can transform into a half-devil form by activating a 'trigger'. While Quanxi possesses remarkable power even without assuming this form, being able to move faster than the human eye can perceive, Denji has yet to fully harness that ability.
Additionally, Quanxi has a past association with Public Safety. She used to be Kishibe's original partner and ally, who is Denji's mentor. Although Kishibe tries to persuade Quanxi to join him in his plot against Makima, she declines as she prefers to remain unaware and avoid taking risks.
Makima ruthlessly kills her and the rest of her friends, but later, she resurrects her as one of her mind-controlled soldiers. Despite regaining her freedom from Makima's grasp, Quanxi chooses to remain with Japan's Public Safety, possibly because Kishibe directly requested her help or because returning to China held no purpose.
She reappears in Chainsaw Man’s second part to stop an attempted public terror attack, effortlessly cutting down the ‘Weapons’ she had once fought alongside.
After the true nature of the attempted attack is exposed, she proceeds to rescue Denji, Nayuta, and Fumiko. In a selfless act, she even shields them from harm and takes a bullet on their behalf. Perhaps she understands the significance of keeping Denji's identity concealed, or maybe she has an ulterior motive. Presently, it remains ambiguous, but Quanxi has unequivocally positioned herself as a loyal ally to the Chainsaw Man.
Quanxi is undoubtedly set to make a comeback, possibly clarifying her decision to align with Japan's Public Safety and her motive to safeguard Denji. Currently, her association with Denji stems from her past with Kishibe and their shared Hybrid lineage.
