Fans have received many clues about what to expect in Bridgerton season 4, except for who will be the next main character.
The popular Netflix series, inspired by Julia Quinn's book series, follows the wealthy Bridgerton family as they navigate the quest for love in 19th century London. In season 1, the focus was on Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page), the main couple from the first book, The Duke and I.
Season 2 drew inspiration from The Viscount Who Loved Me, featuring Anthony Bridgerton finding love with Kate Sharma. Although Benedict Bridgerton's love story with Sophie from An Offer From a Gentleman has not been explored yet.
In contrast, the focus of the third season shifted to Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington as depicted in Quinn’s book Romancing Mister Bridgerton. This change has left readers wondering who will be the main focus in season 4.
Showrunner Jess Brownell, who succeeded creator Chris Van Dusen, hinted at what's to come in April 2024. In an interview with TV Insider, she mentioned, "I won't spill any details, but I believe there are hints at the direction we're taking at the end of Season 3."
She added, "I'll leave it to the fans to dissect, but I do feel like we're giving a small peek into our plans."

Season 4 of Bridgerton has multiple potential siblings who could be the next focus of the series. Benedict, whose love story with Sophie was postponed, could be a strong contender for the spotlight. However, Eloise is also a top choice, having been a central character for several seasons. Her evolving storyline, especially her friendship with Penelope, could seamlessly transition into the upcoming season. In the fifth book of the franchise, To Sir Phillip, With Love, Phillip could be reintroduced as he forms a connection with Eloise.
