Deebo Samuel and his girlfriend, Mahogany Jones, keep their relationship private, but they openly share their love for their son, Tyshun.
The couple, who started dating in 2019, welcomed Tyshun in December 2021. Nearly a year after becoming a father, the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver expressed how fatherhood has impacted his outlook on life.
"I definitely have more patience now than I've ever had before. But, you know, my son comes first before anything else," Samuel told USA Today in November 2022. "My top priority is to ensure that he has a better life than I did growing up and that he has no worries in this world. That's why I give my all every day, in practice and games, to make sure he's taken care of."
Since becoming a father, Jones has been bringing Tyshun to the 49ers stadium to watch Samuel during practice and games.

2019

December 2021
After two years of dating, Samuel and Jones welcomed Tyshun.
“I Got You Forever,” the NFL player captioned a series of photos of his and Jones’ newborn son.
November 2022
Following three years with the 49ers, he secured a three-year contract extension worth $73.5 million, with $58.1 million guaranteed. During an interview with Overtime SZN, Jones revealed her initial disbelief and astonishment upon hearing about Samuel's substantial payday. She expressed her reaction, stating, "When he told me the offer, I’m like, ‘You’re lying, you’re lying.’ He’s like, ‘No, I’m serious.’ I’m like, ‘I can’t believe it.’” Jones further reflected, “I said, ‘We knew this day was coming.’ But to actually see it, and we both just sat back and [were] like ‘Wow.’”

December 2022
One month later, the pair celebrated their first Christmas as a family of three. Samuel shared a series of photos and videos taken by him and Jones of Tyshun by the tree decked out in festive pajamas.

October 2023
Jones and Tyshun went to watch Samuel play against the Arizona Cardinals. They posted photos of their toddler at the game with the caption "NBF," which Samuel explained stands for "nothing but family." Both Jones and her son wore matching T-shirts with Samuel's number, 19, on the front. In a photo shared by Jones, she is seen holding Tyshun while Samuel hugs his son.
