Which Brings Me to You centers around two strangers, Lucy Hale and Nat Wolff, who bond at a friend's wedding by sharing stories of their most embarrassing sexual experiences, lost loves, and past heartaches.

Lucy Hale, known for her roles in romantic comedies like A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song, A Nice Girl Like You, The Hating Game, and Puppy Love, expressed her passion for the genre.

“I feel like I’m living my rom-com era,” she expressed to TVInsider in August 2023. Embracing the challenges as an actor, she enjoys making each story uniquely her own.

Exploring an unexpected bond, Upgraded follows the journey of Ana (Camila Mendes) and Will (Archie Renaux) who meet on a flight to London. Prior to the release on Prime Video in February, Mendes shared with We Magazine how she and Renaux brought the love story to fruition.

"I believe it all comes down to chemistry. This is why we were so fond of those romantic comedies in the 1990s. There was a period when individuals would actually engage in chemistry reading, and I believe that still occurs," she shared with Us. Breaking Down Us' Most Anticipated Romantic Comedies of 2024: From 'Musica' to 'Irish Wish'

There's just something about the perfect rom-com that has Us in our feels.

Luckily, films like Which Brings Me to You and Upgraded have already demonstrated why 2024 is shaping up to be the year of romance.

Based on the novel of the same title, Which Brings Me to You follows the story of two strangers, portrayed by Lucy Hale and Nat Wolff, who bond over sharing their most embarrassing sexual experiences, lost first loves, and past heartaches at a mutual friend's wedding.

Hale, known for her roles in romantic comedies such as A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song, A Nice Girl Like You, The Hating Game, and Puppy Love, shared her passion for the genre.

In an interview with TVInsider in August 2023, she expressed, "I truly believe that I am in my rom-com phase. I enjoy being a part of these films and always embrace the challenge as an actress to personalize the story and make it my own."

Before the film was released on Prime Video in February, Mendes exclusively told Us how she and Renaux brought the love story to life. "I think it's all about chemistry. That's why we loved those rom-coms in the '90s. There was a time when people actually [did] chemistry reading, and I think that still happens," she told Us. "[But] I haven't been in one in a long time." Meanwhile, Upgraded explores an unexpected connection between a couple Ana (Camila Mendes) and Will (Archie Renaux), who meet on a flight to London.
