Players of Madden 24 can now enjoy cross-play in Franchise mode across all current-gen platforms - PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Although cross-play was originally launched in August, it wasn't available for Franchise mode at the time. After thorough testing, the feature is now accessible to all players on these platforms. However, it is important to note that Franchise cross-play is currently in beta, so EA advises players to consider creating a new league to use with cross-play, as existing leagues may be temporarily unavailable if EA needs to pull the feature for optimization.
"Keep in mind that this feature is currently in live beta and can be applied to any league," the blog states. "However, we highly recommend starting a new Franchise file for Crossplay in case our team needs to temporarily disable the feature during the live beta."
Following the Franchise disaster in December 2022, where many leagues were permanently deleted due to an error, the thought of losing a Connected Franchise may be alarming for some players. For those excited to utilize cross-play but want to ensure it's fully prepared, it may be wise to wait until the beta period concludes.
