Samsung has collaborated with Boosteroid, a streaming company, to make video games accessible to a larger audience worldwide, eliminating the requirement for gaming consoles like Xbox or PlayStation. If you own a Samsung smart TV, monitor, or projector that is compatible, you can now utilize the Boosteroid app to engage in gaming. Boosteroid joins a lineup of cloud gaming apps available for Samsung smart TVs, including Xbox, Nvidia GeForce Now, Amazon Luna, Utomik, Antstream Arcade, and Blacknut.
Support for the Samsung Gaming Hub has expanded to include 2020 Samsung smart TV models, significantly widening the range of devices capable of game-streaming. While the rollout initially began in the US and Canada in 2023, it is now available globally.
Users can conveniently download various apps from the Samsung app store directly on their TVs, sign in to their accounts, and enjoy a wide selection of games from the catalog. Notably, the Xbox app allows players to stream popular titles such as Starfield, Halo Infinite, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and more.
Players can enjoy games in the Samsung Gaming Hub without the requirement of a console. However, it is necessary to have a controller. The Samsung Gaming Hub is compatible with Xbox, PlayStation, and Luna controllers. In case you don't possess any controller, the app provides support for virtual controllers on your phone or even your existing TV remote.
