The BlizzCon Collection offers fans digital goodies for multiple Blizzard games, including World of Warcraft, with a $30 Epic and $50 Legendary version available for purchase.
Among the collection, there is a Ysera Murloc pet that draws inspiration from the Legion expansion. It hilariously references Ysera's demise in the game.
While certain admirers find the Ysergle minion endearing and nostalgic, others find its addition underwhelming, particularly since we already have Murkastrasza. They also question the decision to include Ysera, considering her narrative journey within the game.
A Ysera Murloc pet with a comical reference to the Legion expansion is among the items in the BlizzCon Collection for World of Warcraft. Players can obtain this new minion by purchasing the digital BlizzCon package, which celebrates the upcoming convention.
This year, the main stage events at BlizzCon will be live-streamed for free on YouTube and Twitch, eliminating the need for players to purchase a digital ticket in order to stay updated on the latest announcements. Instead, Blizzard is offering the BlizzCon Collection for sale, which includes various digital goodies for Diablo 4, Hearthstone, Overwatch 2, World of Warcraft, and Warcraft Rumble. The collection has two versions available: an Epic version priced at $30 and a Legendary version priced at $50.
In the World of Warcraft BlizzCon Collection, there is a delightful surprise for fans of the Legion expansion. Included in the collection packs are Ysergle pets, which are Murlocs inspired by Ysera, the former Aspect of the Green Dragonflight. This particular pet has a charming idle animation where it falls asleep, turns translucent, and is drawn towards a dark moon in the sky before waking up and falling back down. It's a comedic reference to the emotional cinematic of Ysera's death in Legion. Ysergle is the third Murloc Dragon Aspect that players can collect as a battle pet. The previous BlizzCon featured Deathy, the Deathwing Murloc, while players who purchased certain editions of Dragonflight received Murkastrasza, the Alexstrasza Murloc.
The Ysergle minion has captivated fans, especially those who admired the former Green Dragon leader. Her demise and subsequent return in the Legion and Shadowlands expansions left a lasting impression on players. Ysergle's animation, which recreates Ysera's death, shocked many but ultimately brought laughter.
Nevertheless, not everyone is pleased with the World of Warcraft BlizzCon Collection item. Some argue that offering another Murloc Aspect, so soon after Murkastrasza, lacks originality. Additionally, there are questions regarding why Ysera was chosen as the focal point for the minion when her daughter, Merithra, succeeded her as Aspect in the Dragonflight. It's worth noting that Ysera's presence in the expansion is limited, as her time is borrowed. However, speculation arises that Ysera may have a significant role to play in Guardians of the Dream, set to release on November 7. Ultimately, players eagerly anticipate what twists and turns World of Warcraft has in store for the esteemed former Aspect.
World of Warcraft is available now on PC.
