Will Harry Potter Be Better As A TV Show?
[On Harry Potter] The project is still in its early stages, with no writer hired to start the actual writing process. It may be premature to discuss it extensively at this point. However, our aspirations are for this project to be something truly remarkable, providing us with an opportunity to delve deeper into the world of the books and embark on a captivating series that will be enjoyed by all.Although varying in quality, all eight of the primary Harry Potter films received favorable reviews and achieved significant success at the box office. Excluding the subsequent Fantastic Beasts movies, the franchise as a whole has demonstrated remarkable consistency in terms of excellence. However, despite the enduring appreciation for the mainline movies, there were consistent grievances regarding crucial storylines, characters, and moments from the books that failed to materialize on screen.
Adapting books into films often requires streamlining and compacting stories to fit within a two-hour runtime. However, the upcoming Harry Potter TV show offers a potential solution to this issue. Each season of the show will adapt one of Rowling's novels, allowing for a more thorough exploration of elements that were omitted from the movies.
The number of episodes per season is still uncertain, but it is likely that there will be eight to ten hour-long episodes. While the show has more storytelling time at its disposal, it remains uncertain if the Harry Potter TV show cast and key creatives can replicate the magic of the movies.
