Officials reported that a suspect has been apprehended following the discovery of the lifeless body of Jenean Chapman, the former assistant to the Duchess of York, in a Dallas apartment earlier this week. Upon responding to a residence in downtown Dallas on Monday afternoon, authorities confirmed the unfortunate demise of the 46-year-old, as stated by the Dallas Police Department.
The next day, Dallas police announced that the medical examiners office had officially classified her death as a homicide.
In a social media post, Sarah Ferguson, the duchess, revealed that Chapman had previously worked as her assistant years ago.

Sarah Ferguson expressed her shock and sorrow upon receiving the news of Chapmans demise. She described Chapmans as a devoted, diligent, stunning, and joyful individual, and conveyed her deepest condolences to her loved ones.
Ferguson disclosed that she had conversed with Chapman a few months prior, during which Chapman appeared to be content.
According to a recent update by the Dallas police on Wednesday, they have successfully identified and apprehended a suspect, James Patrick, aged 48, in Austin, which is approximately 200 miles southwest of the location.
He was booked in the Travis County Jail and will face a murder charge, police said.
As of Saturday afternoon, he is still being held on a $100,000 bond, according to jail records.
Dallas police did not provide details regarding the motive of the case, nor did they disclose any connection or relationship between Chapman and the suspect.
