Jeremy Allen White, star of The Bear, recently shared his fantasy guest actor for the show. Following the highly anticipated Christmas episode filled with surprise celebrity appearances, White expressed his desire to have Sam Rockwell, acclaimed Academy Award-winning actor known for his roles in Galaxy Quest and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, among others, join the cast. White believes Rockwell would seamlessly fit into The Bear universe and even offered an intriguing idea of how his character could be connected to the show.
Every Cameo & Guest Star In The Bear Season 2
It's extremely difficult, but there's someone I've adored for a long time - Sam Rockwell. I can't help but think that he would seamlessly fit into this world. Perhaps as a companion to Ebon Moss-Bachrach's character, Richie. I truly believe that there is a place for him in the captivating universe of 'The Bear'.It's not too hard to believe that The Bear managed to snag Rockwell for a special appearance, especially considering the amazing lineup of guest stars they brought together in season 2. First up was Poulter, who made a grand entrance in episode 4, titled "Honeydew," playing the role of Luca, a skilled pastry chef. He takes Marcus Brooks (played by Lionel Boyce) under his wing and convinces him to embark on a journey to Copenhagen for training. Poulter's cameo in The Bear almost didn't happen, but his love for the show pushed him to "beg" for a guest role in the season.
After Poutler's appearance, the majority of the season's guest roles were consolidated in the episode called "Fishes." One of the returning guest stars in this episode was Mikey (played by Jon Bernthal), Carmy's older brother (portrayed by White). Although Mikey's character is deceased in the present day in The Bear, his appearance in "Fishes" as a flashback allowed for a more intricate exploration of his character. The episode delved into the dysfunction within the Berzatto family, including Mikey's conflicts with Odenkirk's "Uncle" Lee Lane, Mikey's mother's boyfriend, the unpredictable alcoholic matriarch of Curtis' family, Donna, as well as Sarah Paulson's Michelle, a Berzatto cousin, and her boyfriend, John Mulaney's Steven.
Gillian Jacobs, known for her roles in the Fear Street trilogy and the TV show Community, made a cameo in "Fishes" and returned for episode 7, "Forks," portraying Richie's ex-wife Tiff (played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach). Joining Jacobs in "Forks" was Olivia Coleman from Secret Invasion, portraying Chef Terry, the head chef of an upscale restaurant who proves to be supportive and encouraging towards Richie. These guest actors exhibited their talents by adding depth to their respective roles, potentially earning them Emmy nominations for Best Guest Actor. With numerous celebrities keen to make appearances in The Bear, a cameo by Rockwell remains a possibility.
