The show is unlikely to be revived because the Sprouse brothers have voiced their concerns about reboots and the associated risks. Despite the Sprouse twins' suggestion for a sequel, Disney declined and instead offered a modified storyline set in Miami.

The stars of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody have reunited years after the popular Disney Channel series ended. The show, set in a Boston hotel, follows twins Zack and Cody Martin as they live in the hotel's suite. The comedy ran from 2005 to 2008 and received three Emmy nominations. It was highly successful and led to spinoffs, movies, and international versions. The main cast included Phill Lewis, Brenda Song, Kim Rhodes, and Ashley Tisdale.

Now, 15 years after the finale of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which was also Tisdale's last regular appearance on the show, Tisdale has posted a photo on her Instagram story. The picture shows her reuniting with Dylan Sprouse at the Rams vs Eagles game at SoFi Stadium. Tisdale even sang Happy Birthday to Sprouse's wife, model Barbara Palvin. Over the years, the idea of Dylan and Cole Sprouse returning to their iconic Disney channel characters has been downplayed by both of them. The most detailed instance of this occurred in 2021, during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, when Cole Sprouse expressed his views on reboots and why they can be challenging to successfully execute. Sprouse acknowledged that reboots, like the original productions, are partially driven by a sense of nostalgia.

If a reboot fails to yield positive results, it runs the risk of undermining the success of the original series. The Riverdale actor was even more explicit in another part of the same interview, stating categorically that he and Dylan would not participate in a reboot. However, in 2013, Dylan mentioned that he and Cole had approached Disney with a concept for a sequel show that would continue the Suite Life of Zack and Cody franchise. The idea involved bringing the twins back to the Tipton hotel in Boston, where they would act as mentors to a boy who lived with his father. Unfortunately, Disney rejected this idea but later proposed a revised storyline set in Miami, which would also feature Selena Gomez. The Sprouses turned down Disney's pitch because it did not grant them the producer credits they had desired.
