Exclusive Persona 3 Reload Leak Sends Shockwaves through Nintendo Fanbase

Disappointing news for Nintendo fans! The leaker behind Persona 3 Reload and other Atlus projects reveals unfortunate updates about the highly anticipated remake

The initial leaker of Persona 3 Reload has verified that the upcoming remake will not be available for the Nintendo Switch. Following a wave of leaks and speculations in 2023, Atlus revealed that they were working on a remake of Persona 3. This announcement occurred during the Xbox Games Showcase. Shortly after the game was confirmed for release on Xbox, Atlus promptly provided a list of other platforms, including PlayStation and Steam.

However, one notable absence from the list was the Nintendo Switch, which was not mentioned on Atlus' website or any other promotional materials for the game. Despite some leaks and rumors suggesting a possible release on the Switch, no official confirmation was made. Sadly, a recent statement from a reliable leaker indicated that the remake is unlikely to be available on Nintendo's console when it initially launches.

Japanese Twitter user MbKKssTBhz5 (referred to as Midori hereafter) has shared exclusive information about Atlus and their upcoming games. Midori was the first to uncover the domains of "P3RE.jp" and "P5T" before their official announcements, showcasing their deep knowledge of Atlus' inner workings. They have been actively updating fans on Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Tactica, and even providing insights into Persona 6 developments.

Midori recently reached out to someone at Atlus and received confirmation that there are currently no plans or publisher deals in place for a Persona 3 Reload Switch port. This information also extends to Atlus' other RPG, Metaphor: ReFantazio, which was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase. While Metaphor: ReFantazio is set to release on PlayStation, Steam, and Xbox, Midori suggests that a Switch version may be developed separately for a surprise release at a later date. However, fans should not raise their expectations for a Switch version of either game at this time.

In the past few years, Atlus has made significant efforts to expand the availability of Persona on various platforms. They have successfully brought Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal to Nintendo's hybrid console, with Sega taking charge of the port development. Although there is a chance that a Persona 3 Reload Switch port may be released in the future, fans are advised to heed Midori's caution and avoid setting themselves up for potential disappointment.

Exciting news for fans awaits as Persona 3 Reload is scheduled to launch in early 2024 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X platforms.
