An original member of the Riverdale cast will officially return for the final season of the show. With seven seasons, multiple spin-offs, and unexpected adventures, the live-action Archie adaptation has been a success. As the show reaches its season finale on August 23, another cast member will make a comeback.
Ashleigh Murray, known for her role as Josie McCoy, was part of the original cast but left after season 3. She then starred in the spin-off Katy Keene, which was later canceled, and has made sporadic appearances in Riverdale since then. A press release by The CW confirms that Murray will be appearing in season 7, episode 17. Titled "Chapter One Hundred Thirty-Four: A Different Kind of Cat" and airing on August 2, the episode will showcase Josie presenting her new film alongside Veronica, Kevin, and Clay.
