Attack on Titan, the manga, concluded in 2021. However, it did not go without controversy as many fans expressed dissatisfaction with the series' ending. Author Hajime Isayama has now released a new volume, volume 35, which includes an art book titled The Fly, as well as an 18-page all-new chapter that follows the original ending of the story.
Despite already adding eight pages to improve the original ending, Isayama's inclusion of this new chapter suggests that he is still unsatisfied with how the series concluded. The cover of the art book indicates a significant focus on the aftermath of the story. Although the Mikasa and Eren situation was a source of concern for many people, it is anticipated that the fanbase as a whole will highly appreciate this new art book.

Hajime Isayama faced significant criticism within the manga and anime community regarding the ending of his series. Some individuals went to the extreme of sending him death threats, leading the author to publicly apologize for the quality of the conclusion.
Despite these concerns, fans held onto hope that the anime adaptation by MAPPA, scheduled to conclude in November, would make efforts to improve the ending. However, leaked information suggests that no substantial changes will occur, leaving the storyline's controversial elements, such as Eren's misguided affection for Mikasa, intact.
This doesn't negate the series' quality for the vast majority of its story and how it has become a cultural phenomenon through its anime adaptation.
