However, some players are now requesting a significant improvement to the companions that can be ridden. Blizzard has shown some willingness to listen to player feedback, as demonstrated by their recent decision to increase storage space in response to player complaints.

After more than a decade of anticipation, gamers finally got their hands on Diablo 4 in June. The game deviated from the controversial, World of Warcraft-inspired art style of its predecessor, Diablo 3, and returned to the darker tone of earlier games in the series. This shift made Diablo 4 feel like a true return to its roots for many players. Despite receiving praise for its updated appearance and the introduction of new features like mounts, Diablo 4 has not been the flawless release that some were hoping for. Players have expressed frustration with various issues, including progress-hindering bugs and complaints about dungeon bosses.

In the latest example of gamers demanding changes, Diablo 4 fans on Reddit are requesting a significant increase in mount speeds. The request for faster mounts came after Redditor TheeChamby shared a video of themselves racing on foot against a friend on a mount. Despite the horse-mounted companion initially keeping up, TheeChamby quickly left them behind as they traversed the map swiftly using their character's special abilities. While the other player was never more than a few seconds behind, the slower speed of the mount compared to the nimble competitor prompted some players to call for a speed enhancement for the creatures.

While some Redditors advocated for an increase in mount speed, others believed the race was not entirely fair. Those in the latter group pointed out how TheeChamby utilized their Rogue character's speed buffs throughout the race. However, other respondents argued that the use of buffs was inconsequential, asserting that even with tricks to enhance mount speed in Diablo 4, the creatures remain excessively slow.

Many fans believe that the mounts in Diablo 4 could use some improvement, although it may not be the highest priority for players.
