Fortnite OG brings back the Chapter 1 map, fulfilling fans' hopes for its comeback after years of anticipation.
The Fortnite OG season's upcoming Battle Pass will offer half the usual rewards, but players will still have access to Bonus Rewards. Although not a full new season, Fortnite OG will be a distinct time-limited event featuring gameplay mechanics reminiscent of Chapter 1.
Fortnite's upcoming season will bring significant changes, including a major revamp of the Battle Pass. Fans can now bid farewell to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 and embrace the return of the beloved Chapter 1 map in the highly anticipated Fortnite OG season. After years of anticipation, players can finally rejoice as the original Fortnite makes its long-awaited comeback.
On November 3, players will once again set foot on the iconic Athena island, the very first Fortnite map. This OG island was initially introduced through UEFN, also called Creative 2.0, and quickly gained popularity within the Fortnite community. Chapter 1 holds a special place in the hearts of many fans, evoking a strong sense of nostalgia.
Many fans rejoice at the prospect of returning to Athena island, where they can rediscover beloved Fortnite mechanics and items that have been kept hidden for so long. Nevertheless, leaks suggest that a typically untouched aspect of the game will undergo significant changes. According to the credible informant iFireMonkey, the upcoming Fortnite Battle Pass for the next season will undergo a complete transformation, featuring no fewer than half of the usual amount of rewards.
If the leaks are accurate, this will not be classified as a new Fortnite season, but rather a limited-time event called Fortnite OG. The Fortnite OG pass will offer 50 rewards instead of the usual 100, and there will be no bonus skin included. Fortunately, the Bonus Rewards tab will still be accessible, allowing players to unlock additional styles for the Battle Pass skins.
Some players were anticipating the return of the Tiers system, as it was the standard during Chapter 1. In this system, players would earn tiers through completing Weekly and Daily quests, as well as leveling up their Fortnite account. However, the current approach requires players to increase their season level by earning more XP. Each level up grants more Battle Stars, which can be freely used on the Battle Pass. The leaks suggest that the OG pass will continue to utilize the Battle Stars system introduced in Chapter 2 Season 7.
