Mendy, who is 31 years old, was replaced by Kepa as the first-choice goalkeeper last season. He only played for Chelsea once after the winter World Cup. Despite being contracted until 2025, it has been reported that incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino intends to have Kepa as the first-choice goalkeeper for the upcoming season.

Al Hilal have entered into talks over the signing of defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Inter Milan were interested in the Senegalese international but only wanted a loan deal.
