Exciting Starfield DLC Announcement on the Horizon

Excitement builds as reports suggest that the highly anticipated DLC for Starfield could be revealed and named soon, delighting fans who have been eagerly waiting for this announcement.

Starfield's SteamDB page has recently been updated, hinting that the Shattered Space DLC could be on the horizon sooner than expected. Bethesda's latest RPG, Starfield, invites players to explore numerous planets, moons, large cities, and faction questlines. One of the game's standout features is the shipbuilding system, allowing players to craft their own unique ships for space travel. The Starfield community has showcased their creativity through a variety of impressive, silly, and amusing ship designs.

Upon its release, Starfield, a major title from Bethesda, received a somewhat subdued reception. While it had notably fewer bugs compared to previous Bethesda launches, some players found the frequent loading screens and fast traveling to be a bit overwhelming. Despite attracting six million players in its initial weeks, Starfield's player base has gradually declined over the seven months since its release. This trend is common for a single-player RPG, but Bethesda games are known for retaining player interest for years.

Many players who have been waiting for new content in Starfield are excited for the upcoming Shattered Space DLC. Insider Gaming recently noticed an update on Starfield's SteamDB page, where a new "Unknown App" was added next to the pre-order and digital premium upgrade editions. This hints at Bethesda possibly getting ready to introduce something new to Starfield, whether it's the Shattered Space DLC or something different remains a mystery.

What Could Shattered Space Add To Starfield?

Fallout 4's DLCs were all released in the year following its November 2015 launch, with the earliest Automaton DLC having dropped in February 2016. With that in mind, it wouldn't be impossible for Bethesda to have Shattered Space ready to go sometime in the coming months, perhaps even before Xbox's confirmed June showcase. As it stands, there aren't many major AAA releases set to drop in April and May; it would be the perfect time for Starfield to come out with its DLC, pulling players back in and potentially winning over new fans.

It is still unknown what Shattered Space will include. With over 1,000 planets already in the base game, it seems unlikely that new planets will be added. However, there may be a new city and faction questline introduced. One of the major factions in Starfield, House Va'ruun, was not explored in the base game. It is possible that Shattered Space will allow players to join Va'ruun and visit its home planet, located in an unknown star system. At this point, all of this is just speculation.

Starfield is expected to have official mod support sometime this year. It is possible that this will coincide with the release of the Shattered Space DLC, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Editor's P/S:

The recent update to Starfield's SteamDB page has sparked excitement among the game's community, hinting at the possibility of the long-awaited Shattered Space DLC. While details are still scarce, the prospect of new content is a welcome one. Starfield's initial reception was somewhat lukewarm, and a major update could reinvigorate player interest, potentially attracting new fans in the process.

The addition of Shattered Space, if true, would be a significant step in expanding Starfield's already vast world. The potential inclusion of a new faction and city questline could add new layers of depth and immersion, while the introduction of mod support would open up endless possibilities for player creativity. With the release window still uncertain, the Starfield community eagerly awaits further updates from Bethesda.
