Exciting News: Official Confirmation of Anyway, I'm Falling in Love With You Anime

Based on Haruka Mitsui's romance drama manga series, the Anyway, I'm Falling in Love With You anime has been officially confirmed by Kodansha on Thursday, February 29, 2024. An official X (formerly Twitter) handle has also been launched for the anime, where the author shares thoughts on the adaptation along with a specially drawn illustration.

The cover for the April issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine had previously hinted at the production of Anyway, I'm Falling in Love With You anime. Although no official update was provided at that time, the highly anticipated adaptation has now been given the green light, much to the excitement of fans.

Kodansha announced on Thursday, February 29, 2024, that the anime adaptation of Haruka Mitsui's romance-drama manga, Anyway, I'm Falling in Love With You, is currently in production. An official X handle (@Koishima_pr) for the anime has been launched by the company to provide updates on the adaptation.

However, important details such as the release date, broadcast schedule, cast, and crew have not been disclosed during the announcement. The name of the production studio responsible for the anime is also still unknown.

The official account for the Anyway, I'm Falling in Love With You anime recently posted a special illustration by the author, Haruka Mitsui. The artwork features Mizuha Nishino and her childhood friends enjoying a cheerful moment together, radiating feel-good vibes.

In addition to the illustration, the author's thoughts on the adaptation have been disclosed. Haruka Mitsui's Japanese comments, once translated into English, are as follows:

An anime adaptation of 'Koishima' has been released, which began airing in December 2020. It is truly astonishing to see this beloved series brought to life on screen, a dream come true for many. A big thank you to all the dedicated readers who have supported the story thus far.

Haruka-san expressed her excitement at the prospect of witnessing the characters from "Anyway, I'm Falling in Love With You" in animated form. She eagerly anticipates the portrayal of Mizuho, Teruzuki, Fuka, Ai, Shugo, and the rest of the cast, promising a depiction of their vibrant and youthful essence.

Haruka Mitsui debuted the manga in Kodansha's shoujo manga magazine, Nakayoshi in November 2020. Currently, seven Tankobon volumes have been released, with the eighth volume scheduled for release on March 13, 2024.

Kodansha USA is responsible for publishing the romance manga in English. The plot is described as:

Mizuha's 17th birthday is a disappointment as her parents forget and the senpai she likes shows no interest. However, when her childhood friend asks her out, Mizuha must navigate the implications of this shift in their relationship. It seems that emotions are not the only things in flux.
