Excitement swept through the fan base upon hearing the long-awaited news of the new Dragon Ball DAIMA announcement. With Akiyo Iyoku scheduled to make an appearance at the event, fans were eagerly anticipating major reveals to be unveiled.
The announcement of the Special Panel prompted an outpouring of fan responses, with many expressing their unwavering dedication to the series through "I'll be there no matter what" memes. Meanwhile, some fans started to wonder what they might see at the special panel. Since the first teaser trailer was released in October 2023, many were hoping for a new trailer. However, there were still fans who weren't interested in Dragon Ball DAIMA, preferring instead a continuation of the Dragon Ball Super anime. They were not enthusiastic about an original story anime from the franchise.
Finally, some fans were let down by the event's organization. According to the plan, the panel was supposed to resemble New York Comic Con 2023, where only attendees at the venue could see the new anime information unfold live. Meanwhile, other fans had to wait for the official sources to release the same information on social media. Therefore, fans hoped for a live stream of the event.
Editor's P/S
As a passionate Dragon Ball fan, I am thrilled about the upcoming Dragon Ball DAIMA Special Panel in January 2024. The fact that franchise creator Akira Toriyama is directly involved in the production of this new original anime has me filled with excitement and anticipation. I can't wait to see what exclusive information and behind-the-scenes details will be revealed during the panel. The prospect of a new artwork by Toriyama himself is also incredibly exciting, as it will undoubtedly provide fans with a deeper connection to the series and its creator.
However, I do understand the concerns of some fans who prefer a continuation of the Dragon Ball Super anime rather than an original story anime. Dragon Ball Super has been a huge success, and many fans are eager to see more of their favorite characters and storylines. Additionally, the fact that the panel will only be accessible to attendees at the venue is disappointing for those who cannot attend in person. I hope that the organizers will consider live streaming the event so that all fans can be a part of this exciting moment in Dragon Ball history.
