Ruby Sunday's backstory is shrouded in mystery as she was left abandoned on Christmas Eve as an infant. Currently residing with her mother, Carla, and grandmother, Cherry, her life is set to undergo a drastic change when she meets the Doctor and embarks on their inaugural adventure together. Additionally, the BBC's recent update reveals the inclusion of Michelle Greenidge and Angela Wynter in the cast, portraying Carla and Cherry, as well as TV presenter Davina McCall making an appearance as herself in the Doctor Who Christmas special.
Russell T Davies teases Doctor Who Series 14
"I've been eager to bring Doctor Who back on Christmas Day since the first day of this job," stated showrunner Russell T Davies. "With Ncuti, Millie, Davina, and the Goblin King, I aim for it to be a delightful feast for the entire family!"
