As dusk falls, Bond finally locates Loid who is just about to infiltrate a pharmaceutical company in order to procure a sample of truth serum. Loid is taken aback by Bond's unexpected presence but assumes he has come seeking revenge for past experiments. Consequently, Loid guides him into the laboratory. While Loid searches for the serum, Bond suddenly has another vision, alerting him to the imminent return of the researchers. Swiftly, Bond warns Loid.

Once the researchers arrive at the laboratory, they discover a note indicating the theft of the serum. However, upon opening the safe to verify its absence, the serum remains untouched. Seizing the opportunity, Loid and Bond surprise the researchers, incapacitate them, and effortlessly acquire the serum. With their mission accomplished, Loid is able to return home early, while Bond envisions his triumph through a vivid premonition of enjoying a delectable meal prepared by Loid.

Damian, due to oversleeping, is compelled to assist the Dorm Mother with household tasks. Emile and Ewin, his friends, are aware that Damian overslept due to late-night studying and are concerned that he is overexerting himself. In order to aid him with the chores, the two friends ultimately decide to openly disregard the rules. Showing sympathy towards their situation, Henderson permits their actions. Emile and Ewin manage to help Damian relax to some extent, but he still harbors anxiety about getting back to his work. To provide Damian with an excuse to further unwind, Henderson pretends to punish him and arranges for him to go on a field research trip with Mr. Green.

Following an intense kayaking adventure that leads to the boys panicking after falling into waist-deep water, they establish a fire to warm up and begin preparing to catch fish. After procuring bait and crafting a fishing rod, the boys eventually succeed in catching fish and enjoy a meal by the riverside. Although Damian has been enjoying himself, he feels a sense of guilt about not dedicating his time to studying as he had initially resolved to do. Mr. Green reassures him, asserting that relaxation is just as crucial for the mind, and that even spacing out can contribute to the growth of one's brain. Subsequently, after dinner, Mr. Green takes the boys to Stella Lake, where they are greeted by a breathtaking spectacle. When asked by Mr. Green if he believes the day has been wasted, Damian honestly acknowledges that it has not.
