Exciting Addition of Gen 9 Pokemon Set to Elevate Upcoming Pokemon GO Event

During this event, players will receive double the amount of Stardust and Candy when hatching Pokemon. Additionally, the duration of Incense will be extended, ensuring a longer-lasting effect. Exclusive avatar rewards and specially curated Field Research tasks will also be available, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.

Pokemon GO has revealed an upcoming event that introduces two new Generation 9 creatures. In the game, players already have access to a complete Pokedex of certain regions. However, for those whose collection remains incomplete, Niantic continuously adds new Pokemon to Pokemon GO.

Earlier this year, players were delighted with the Paldean Adventure event, which included the introduction of Scarlet and Violet Pokemon. This event showcased the Gen 9 starters and their evolutions, as well as the inclusion of Lechonk and its subsequent forms. Additionally, Pokemon GO has previously released more Scarlet and Violet monsters, such as the Pawmi evolutionary line. The first half of the month saw the introduction of Smoliv, Dolliv, and Arboliva, while Greavard and Houndstone recently made their debut.

Now, Pokemon GO has announced yet another event featuring more Pokemon from Paldea for players to discover.

The Festival of Lights event in Pokemon GO will take place from November 7 at 10:00 AM until November 12 at 8:00 PM local time. This event is a special occasion for trainers to discover and catch Scarlet and Violet's new Pokemon, Tadbulb and Bellibolt. During the festival, players will have increased encounters with 12 different Pokemon in the wild, including the shiny Morelull which will make its debut in Pokemon GO. By using Incense, trainers will have a higher chance of encountering 11 additional Pokemon, such as Alolan Geodude and Hisuian Voltorb.

The Festival of Lights will provide players with the chance to earn double Stardust and Candy when hatching Pokemon. Additionally, the duration of the Incense will be doubled during the event. Trainers can participate in Timed Research focused on catching and hatching Pokemon to unlock an exclusive shirt for their avatars and have encounters with event-themed Pokemon. Completing Field Research tasks will grant encounters with Darumaka, Morelull, and Tadbulb. Furthermore, 7 km eggs will hatch Elekid, Magby, Morelull, and Dedenne. A new avatar item will be introduced, PokeStop Showcases will highlight Litwick and Tadbulb, and exclusive bonuses will be given to players from India. The Festival of Lights announcement also teases a Raid Day on November 11, but no further details are provided.

The current Pokemon GO season has been filled with exciting events, catering to the interests of its player base. One notable addition is the Party Play feature, offering players a fresh and enjoyable way to engage with the game. Electric-type enthusiasts will particularly enjoy the Festival of Lights as it presents an excellent opportunity to expand their Pokemon collections, acquire valuable resources, and potentially encounter shiny variants of the featured creatures.
