Paradox Interactive, the publisher, has announced that Life by You will be released in early access in March of next year. The developer, Paradox Tectonic, initially planned to start the early access period of Life By You in September but has disclosed the need for extra time to focus on numerous game enhancements.

Developer Paradox Tectonic unveiled Life by You, a competitor to The Sims, in March of last year. The highly anticipated life simulation game is helmed by Rod Humble, renowned for his contributions to The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, as well as his previous role as CEO of Linden Lab, the developer behind Second Life. Life by You sets itself apart from its predecessor by introducing a seamless open world, customizable dialogue, and the ability to control any character at any given moment.

According to a recent video and press release from the developer, Paradox Tectonic's Life by You will launch in early access on March 5, 2024. Director Rod Humble expressed in a video shared on Life By You's YouTube channel that the studio has been actively listening to feedback from fans and the modding community, leading to the implementation of several significant improvements. However, these enhancements necessitate a slight delay, pushing the early access release of Life By You to early 2024.

The upgrades for Life by You consist of visual enhancements, refined gameplay, an overhauled user interface, additional modding tools, bug fixes, and the addition of two new languages. In addition to the existing English, French, Spanish, and German support, Paradox Tectonic plans to include Italian and Portuguese in the early access build. Visual enhancements in Life by You will encompass better animations, more detailed character models, improved lighting, and new visual assets.

Humble did not provide specific details about the other topics, but mentioned that the refined gameplay features in Life by You will offer a more comprehensive experience. Paradox Tectonic will unveil the new user interface later this week. During the Early Access phase, bug fixing will be an ongoing process, with the aim of delivering a smoother and more polished experience right from the start. Additionally, the updated modding tools in Life by You should enhance the modding workflow.

Paradox is automatically refunding the purchase of customers who pre-ordered Life by You through the Epic Games Store and asking them to pre-order the game again. However, in an attempt to compensate, Paradox is pleased to announce the introduction of a new pre-order bonus called the "Nightclub Vibe Pack." This pack features eight exclusive furniture items that players can utilize to adorn an in-game nightclub or infuse a touch of nightlife ambiance into their characters' homes.

Humble also confirmed that the studio plans to maintain its weekly development updates and actively engage with fans by answering their questions. Additionally, on behalf of the team, he expressed gratitude towards the community for the ongoing support they have shown towards Life by You.

The early access version of Life by You will be available for PC starting from March 5, 2024.
