I constantly experience nerves and immense pressure, a feeling that has lingered since I was twelve years old. Even when it's not necessary, I still believe I should give my utmost best. This sets a standard that I'm always afraid of falling short of. When it came to Dune, it was an intriguing experience. Meeting with Denis [Villeneuve] and discussing the character was exciting, even without a script. As we talked about Feyd, my imagination soared and I started feeling the terror of the challenge. Now, that's what drives me: what truly frightens me? Playing Elvis was terrifying too. The pressure was immense, and I constantly questioned myself, wondering if I was enough, if I could pull off such a challenging performance. This mindset pushed me to focus and put in intense effort. The incredible reception of that film made me realize that despite the fear and self-doubt, hard work allows me to impact people. I've learned to see that terror as something separate, no longer allowing it to control me. Instead, I acknowledge it and say, "I see you. I hear you. You won't paralyze me." It becomes a driving force that makes my heart race when I wake up at four in the morning, ready to get to work. It motivates me to hone my voice, my body, and the text.
