Drew and Jonathan Scott are assisting several celebrities in giving back on the upcoming season of Celebrity IOU.
In a November HGTV press release, Jonathan, 45, expressed, "Every moment spent working on these sincere renovations is truly significant. Drew and I are excited to guide each celebrity through the renovation and design process, all while enjoying the journey. The big reveals for their loved ones make it all the more rewarding."
Drew, who is also 45, shared similar feelings with his brother. "Each reveal is like an emotional roller coaster," he said. "There's nothing better than giving the keys back to someone who truly deserves a life-changing renovation."
Season 4 of the HGTV series is set to debut on Monday, January 1 with eight episodes. Each episode will feature the home improvement brothers teaming up with a celebrity to give back to someone who has made a significant impact on their life. The season's lineup of guests includes A-list stars such as Sterling K. Brown, Rosario Dawson, Zoe Saldana, Fran Drescher, Ray Romano, and more. The premiere episode will showcase Romano, 65, enlisting the help of the Property Brothers to create a luxurious suite for his long-time assistant. Drew, Jonathan, and Romano work together to give his friend's home a well-deserved makeover.
Drew and Jonathan began their television careers on HGTV in 2011 with their popular show, The Property Brothers. The series followed the brothers as they assisted couples looking for fixer-upper homes that could be renovated into their ideal living space.
The real estate show last aired its 14th season in 2019, but it was never officially canceled by the network. Instead, the Scott brothers have moved on to several spinoff series and specials such as Brother vs. Brother, Property Brothers: At Home, A Very Brady Renovation, Celebrity IOU and more. In December 2019, Jonathan spoke exclusively to We about the success he and his brother have achieved in their media empire.
Our show is authentic. When people meet us, they see that we are the same in person as we are on the show. I believe people underestimate the impact of our work with nonprofits and charities, and using our platform to focus on causes we care about.
