Lille airport, situated in northern France, announced via X (formerly known as Twitter) that it was being cleared as a precautionary measure due to a bomb threat. Security operations are underway on-site.
The airport in the southern city of Toulouse has been evacuated due to a bomb threat. Traffic has been temporarily stopped, as stated in an official statement by the airport. According to a police source, the airports in Nantes and Beauvais, located outside Paris, have also been evacuated for security reasons as reported by CNN affiliate BFMTV.
Earlier today, Lyon-Bron Airport and the airport in Nice, both in France, experienced evacuations but have now resumed operations. Lyon-Bron was evacuated following a bomb scare, while Nice was evacuated due to abandoned luggage, as reported to CNN by both airports.
In addition, the Palace of Versailles, located near Paris, is currently evacuating visitors for the third time in less than a week due to security concerns. This information was provided by the venue's website on Wednesday.
The venue had to be evacuated twice recently - once on Tuesday due to a suspicious item and again over the weekend due to a bomb threat. CNN has contacted the police for their statement.
