Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman recently discovered that he is the biological father of a son who shares a significant birthday with him. On the fourth anniversary of his late wife Beth Chapman's passing, June 26, the reality star took to Instagram to share this life-changing news. In his heartfelt post, Dog, 70, expressed how this day, which had previously been a painful reminder of loss, has now been redeemed with joy. Alongside a photo of himself with his son Jon and Jon's wife Jodi, he introduced his newfound son to the world.

The ex-bail bondsman shared a picture of Jon and his spouse cuddling while posing happily for the camera. In his tribute, Dog hinted that he would delve further into Jon's story in his upcoming memoir Nine Lives and Counting, set to be released next year.

Beth, Dog's former wife of almost 13 years, passed away at the age of 51 in June 2019. She had been battling throat and lung cancer for two years, eventually leading to her being placed in a medically induced coma before her demise.

“For those who have experienced a profound tragedy, take solace in the knowledge that God has the power to heal and rejuvenate,” Dog expressed in his Instagram post addressing Jon and Beth. “Wishing our beloved son a joyful birthday celebration. Sending love to you both.”

After divorcing White, Dog married Ann Tegnell and they have two sons, Wesley and James Robert. Unfortunately, they also had a son named Zebadiah who passed away as an infant. In his third marriage to Lyssa Rae Brittain, Dog had three children: Barbara Katie (who tragically died in a car crash in 2006), Tucker Dee, and Lyssa Rae II.

Dog and Beth had two children together, Bonnie Joanne and Garry. Additionally, Dog chose to adopt Beth's daughter Cecily, who she had from a previous marriage.

After Beth's unfortunate passing, Dog entered into a fast-paced romance with Francie Frane and the couple got married in September 2021. Prior to their wedding, Dog's daughters Cecily and Bonnie disclosed that they had not been invited to their father's momentous occasion. Prior to the distribution of invitations, Bonnie made an allegation that her father had been unfaithful to Beth.

In August 2021, she wrote a statement on Twitter, which has since been deleted, acknowledging that she had forgiven her father for numerous actions, even though she shouldn't have. One of these actions was his infidelity towards her mother, which she despised him for, but still chose to forgive in order to maintain a relationship with her dad. Dog, however, denied these claims and stated that this was a key factor in his decision to exclude Bonnie and Cecily from the occasion, according to an exclusive conversation with We.

"The Dog’s Most Wanted star revealed that they have associated themselves with a troublesome group and have aligned themselves with the wrong individuals. This knowledge is based on personal experiences wherein I have not only interacted with them, but also apprehended them on past occasions," the star informed Us.
