In order to embark on the exciting quest known as "The Unknown Flavor," players must first achieve Friendship Level 10 with Remy. It is also important to have already completed Remy's previous Friendship quest, "The Price of Fame," which becomes available at Friendship Level 7. Once both of these requirements have been fulfilled, players can speak with Remy to eagerly accept his final Friendship mission.

Upon conversing with Remy, the player is enlightened about his struggles in reproducing a formula for a remarkable frozen treat. The player's assistance becomes imperative in untangling this perplexing culinary puzzle. To begin this culinary odyssey, seeking guidance from the venerable Merlin becomes essential. Undoubtedly, Merlin stands as the unparalleled authority in all things magical, encompassing even the realm of gastronomy. This marks the commencement of the enthralling quest entitled "The Unknown Flavor."

Speak with Merlin

Make your way to Merlin's abode and engage in conversation with him. He will kindly propose perusing his meticulously crafted notes, holding within them a wealth of knowledge about magical nourishment. Take a moment to interact with the glistening tome nestled in the cozy confines of Merlin's dwelling, and as a gratifying outcome, you shall acquire a coveted recipe book.

Craft 3 Purified Night Shards and Find WALL·E

Now is the moment to gather the essential materials, requiring the crafting of 3 Purified Night Shards at any crafting station. To produce these shards, the player must utilize a combined total of 45 Night Shards and 9 Dream Shards.

Night Shards can be acquired by excavating sparkling dig spots that are dispersed throughout the valley, whereas Dream Shards can be obtained by removing the Night Thorns that have infiltrated the Valley. These items cannot be easily obtained in large quantities, so it may take a while to gather a sufficient amount of each if the player does not already possess the materials.

Once the player has successfully crafted the Purified Night Shards, their next step would be to crush these shards into a fine powder. In order to do so, it is advised to seek out WALL·E, a renowned expert in the art of compacting objects. Hand over the shards to WALL·E and he will skillfully transform them into a vial of finely powdered Purified Night Shard Powder.

Collect 15 Snowballs and Craft Ice Slush

To proceed further, players should gather 15 Snowballs by breaking apart the icy clusters found in the Frosted Heights. Using an upgraded Royal Pickaxe is crucial in collecting these Snowballs. Once you have successfully acquired all 15 Snowballs, return to a crafting station and combine them with the Purified Night Shard Powder to create Ice Slush.

Return to Remy and present him with the Ice Slush. In gratitude for the help, Remy will share the recipe for the dessert which had previously eluded him, Vanilla Ice Cream.

Purchase Slush Ice and Make Vanilla Ice Cream

There's an exciting new addition to Remy's Shop inside the restaurant - Slush Ice! This delightful ingredient is an absolute must-have for crafting the most delicious Vanilla Ice Cream. Gather all the necessary ingredients and follow these simple steps:

1 Slush Ice - Purchased from Remy's shop inside Chez Remy.

1 Milk - Purchased from Remy's shop inside Chez Remy.

1 Sugarcane - Grown from seeds or purchased from Goofy in Dazzle Beach.

1 Vanilla - Gathered in the Sunlit Plateau biome.

After successfully preparing the Vanilla Ice Cream and presenting it to Remy, the player can expect a heartfelt expression of appreciation from him. As a token of gratitude, Remy will reward the player with Remy's "Best Chef" Shelf, a special item that can be proudly displayed on a wall in their virtual home. Moreover, the player will now have the opportunity to purchase the Slush Ice ingredient from Remy's Shop for 150 Star Coins per serving. This ingredient is a vital component in various mouthwatering dessert recipes.
