FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS

Rewritten:

Several issues have been fixed in the main quests, including one in "To The Burning Shores" where the Defense Drone's laser VFX would not appear after dying or restarting the checkpoint. Additionally, players were unable to complete the "Search for a Way Up the Tower" objective if they destroyed the pullable ceiling too early. In "Heaven and Earth," leaving the Observatory before the objective updates to "Find the Transmitter" would cause the transmitter to be uninteractable and block progression. Similarly, entering the code to open Londra's private room before the objective updates to "Find the Door Code" caused the objective to not update correctly. The Zenith Tower's shots were also not killing Aloy and Seyka during "Heaven and Earth - Fly to Starlight Rise," resulting in an awkward swim back to land. In "For His Amusement," opening the door to the Armory while Seyka was engaged in combat in the main courtyard may cause her to become idle and block progression. In "His Final Act," the mission objective "Meet Seyka in Fleet's End" did not have a quest marker on Seyka, and Seyka's bow was floating next to her. Finally, an issue where the Defense Drone could be looted twice has been resolved.

Resolved the problem of Gildun’s hands clipping through Aloy’s hair during a hug and addressed the issue in “A Friend in the Dark” where the player was able to place the Pullable Box in a way that obstructed further progression if they jumped down from the elevator's exit.

Corrected the placement of numerous treasure chests that were previously buried underground. Resolved an issue where Aloy would mistakenly state that she had detected another signal upon completing Aerial Capture: South. Addressed a bug in Cauldron THETA where a player's progress within the first room of the Cauldron would be erased and callouts would be repeated if they exited and re-entered the area.

Resolved various machine-related glitches, such as the Stingspawn's eye light appearing without the actual creature visible, the Stormbird's overuse of the "Thunder Dive" attack, and the Tideripper's strange warping movements while in the air. Additionally, addressed a problem where players spawning midair after quickly leaving and returning to the Burning Shores area could result in fatal falls without their mounts.

The Specter Gauntlet's ammo count on the Weapon Wheel is now accurately displayed, even if Aloy is required to put away her weapon due to a Status Effect while Designator aiming. Quen Deadeye, Quen Commander, Blacktide Quen Commander, and Tenakth Vanquisher's Acid Resistance boost has been decreased by 10% to match the other elemental resistances. Additionally, Aloy can now equip weapons after being attacked by a Clamberjaw.

The Battery Stations in the carts and the Ornament room in Relic Ruins: Murmuring Hollow were corrected to display a correct indicator of power after reloading the autosave, resolving an issue.

Performance and Stability

Added several crash fixes. Fixed several locations where the player could get stuck.

In the Main Quest "Death's Door" of New Game Plus playthroughs, Aloy no longer keeps her Diving Mask on during two cinematics. The Hollywood Hills area no longer has a set of floating climbing poles. Additionally, collecting Dye Flowers will now result in the correct sound effect instead of a canister collection sound effect.

Horizon Forbidden West is available now on PS4 and PS5.
