It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but once players have access to their first ship, it's highly recommended to head straight to New Atlantis. Located on the planet Jemison in the Alpha Centauri System, this sprawling city offers a glimpse into what the 24th century has in store.

How To Get To New Atlantis

Spaceport

Upon embarking on their journey into Starfield, players will be entrusted with Barrett's ship and dispatched to Alpha Centauri under Protocol Indigo. Consequently, players are compelled to proceed to the Alpha Centauri system. Once there, locating New Atlantis, situated on planet Jemison, should prove to be a straightforward task. It is essential to remember for future reference that this area falls under United Colonies jurisdiction, meaning players will undergo scrutiny for illegal items and their ship will be inspected for wanted fugitives. Therefore, if players return to this region as a wanted individual, they should be prepared to face penalties, imprisonment, or engage in an arduous escape attempt.

The Spaceport serves as the primary gateway into the city. Whenever players arrive at the planet, their spacecraft will invariably touch down here, patiently waiting on the landing pad for their return and subsequent departure. Each player's ship will consistently dock at Landing Pad A, and upon disembarking, they will discover a myriad of merchandise solely within this district. Directly in front of the ship stands the Ship Technician, readily available to provide assistance. Furthermore, a ramp leading down into the city can be accessed from this location.

Spaceport Storage Lockup

Ship Technician

From the rear of the player ship, the Storage Lockup facility can be easily located. It serves as a repository for players' contraband. However, gaining entry to this facility necessitates accessing Storage A building using a Digipick, which can only be operated with proficient Advanced Lockpick skills. It is essential to exercise caution while approaching this area, as guards frequently patrol the vicinity.

Awaiting the player's arrival is a Ship Technician, ready to provide top-notch service for space travel and combat. Operating day and night, this skilled technician is well-equipped to address any repairs needed for the player's mighty vessel, albeit at a cost of Credits. Additionally, players can explore a range of options including purchasing new parts, upgrades, and even unique ships from the esteemed Ship Technician of New Atlantis.

Security Checkpoint

As players descend from their ship's ramp, they will come across a centrally located security booth. This booth provides information on any active bounties placed on the player by the United Colonies. Additionally, there is a self-service bounty kiosk and mission board in close proximity to the booth.

UC Security Office

Adjacent to the shops, a grand edifice stands tall – the UC Security Office building. Within its premises, Sergeant Yumi welcomes aspiring security officers, initiating the commencement of the captivating quest called Keeping the Peace. Inside, players can interact with Amoli Bava to indulge in a shopping spree. Jemison Mercantile offers a wide range of items, including resources, aid, weapons, and ammunition. Notably, it houses a unique pistol known as the Ace Sidearm. Additionally, Samson Cabrail, a notable shopper, can be found here. Speaking to him will present players with the opportunity to embark on The Art Dealer quest.

TerraBrew Coffee

Just adjacent to Jemison Mercantile, players will come across the TerraBrew Coffee chain. This establishment is conveniently situated near the elevator that transports players to the magnificent waterfall and the Well. Commercial District

In the Commercial District, players can easily locate the offices and corporations responsible for the city's bustling business activities by boarding the NAT. Adjacent to the NAT, there is a smaller TerraBrew Coffee shop, although it lacks much excitement. Alternatively, players can also find the Commercial District by heading left from New Atlantis upon reaching the MAST District.

Settled Systems News Networks

To the left of the NAT sits the expansive SSNN building, a hub of galactic journalism. Within its walls, players can find Nadia Muffaz, with whom they can initiate the Light in the Darkness quest. This establishment holds great significance, as players can exchange their tales of adventure with Nadia in return for valuable Credits. Inside, through the window, the renowned SSNN host, David Barron, keeps a watchful eye on all that transpires.

Valberg

Just across from the SSNN building stands Valberg, appearing seemingly vacant. However, concealed within its walls lies an elevator, which transports players to the esteemed Argos Extractors offices. The name may ring a bell for players as this is the very company that employed them as a miner in their initial mission. Regrettably, there is not much to engage in at this location besides simply reporting the pirate assault. Naturally, no form of compensation is offered for such an incident.

Whetstone

Adjacent to the Valberg building lies Whetstone, an upscale eatery that offers players a wide range of nourishing options. Operated by the amiable Alara Katrango, this boutique restaurant specializes in serving delectable sustenance and refreshing beverages, which double as valuable aid items. Continuing from the Enhance! Building, outland adventurers will stumble upon a specialized store known as Outland. With its own distinct interior, this quaint establishment offers a myriad of items for sale, such as a diverse selection of weapons and ammunition. Interacting with the affable shopkeeper, Cornelius Townard, players can acquire their desired purchases.

GalBank

The last shop on the row is GalBank, situated on the fringes of the bustling Commercial District. This vibrant, green establishment is home to a series of ATMs where players can stealthily acquire Credits, provided they possess the requisite Advanced Lockpick skills. Upon entering, players will encounter the bank teller, Landry Hoillifield, who can assign players various quests related to debt collection, commencing with the mission titled "Due in Full." UC Distribution Center

Located on the right side of GalBank, you'll find the UC Distribution Center. To access the vendor's inventory, simply approach Wen Tseng, who will gladly assist you. MAST District

The MAST District is located at the heart of New Atlantis. It can be accessed through the NAT system or located in the center of the map. MAST Building

Upon traversing the NAT station, individuals can make their way towards the colossal edifice that dominates the cityscape. Commander Tuala will extend an invitation, in the form of the Supra Et Ultra quest, offering players the opportunity to join the prestigious UC Vanguard Faction. Becoming a member of this esteemed group enables players to explore the multitude of floors and chambers within this monumental establishment.

The Lodge

The Lodge, situated in the remote outskirts of the MAST District, is under the ownership of the Constellation. Despite being engulfed by nature, this unassuming yet enchanting edifice unveils its beauty upon entry. Within its walls, players can discover a new sense of belonging, along with a cozy resting chamber. At its heart lies the mesmerizing Artifact Collection, where players can proudly display their discovered Artifacts acquired during their epic journey. Armistice Archives

However, its significance resurfaces in the midst of the UC Vanguard quests.

Residential District

Starting their journey from the NAT system, players can simply go right to explore this initial point of interest.

Mercury Tower

Med Bay

Jake’s

Starting from the NAT line in the MAST District, players have the option to move forward in order to locate the Med Bay clinic. Managed by Talia O’Shea, this establishment provides players with a limited supply of medical resources, albeit fewer than what is offered on the surface. Adjacent to Med Bay, players will encounter Louisa Reyez, who initiates the Tapping the Grind quest.

If players proceed to ascend the staircase on the right side of Med Bay, they will stumble upon a quaint bar under the management of the seemingly impatient Jake. This vibrant character graciously tends to players' beverage needs, offering a wide array of drinks. Additionally, one may encounter a few random crewmates within this establishment, although their presence holds no noteworthy significance.

The Well - Player House

Players have the opportunity to acquire a residence in the Well for a price of 30,000 Credits. This housing option is situated above Jake's establishment. Although it may not initially impress, and the surrounding area may not exude the utmost safety, it serves as a modest space where players can establish a haven and store the various treasures they have obtained. Prior to doing so, players must obtain their UC Citizenship.

Kay’s House

Returning to the Med Bay, players can now take the front path by passing through the exit doors. Here, they will come across Kay’s House, a charming eatery managed by Theressa and Kay Mason.
