This Italian home is a dream for many, with multiple suites filled with artistic masterpieces. The 17th-century Palazzo Vilòn in Rome is a luxurious retreat, spanning 1,100 square meters across multiple floors. It boasts a private gym, spa, cinema, 24-hour butler service, and private chefs.
You can now have Palazzo Vilòn all to yourself for 25,000 euros ($26,665) per night with the "buy-out" offer.
This enchanting Baroque palace is not your typical luxury hotel. Palazzo Vilòn provides a unique opportunity to transport yourself back to a time when noble families reigned over the Eternal City. You're not simply booking a place to stay, but rather the opportunity to immerse yourself in centuries of history and art that is reflected in the architecture and décor.
Palazzo Vilon has several lounges, including Sala di Diana, pictured.
The palace, formerly the private residence of the Borghese family, is situated in the Campo Marzio area near the Spanish steps and overlooks the Tiber River. It is just a short walk from Rome's famous landmarks and was home to one of the most influential dynasties in 17th-century Europe.
Today, Palazzo Vilòn is considered Italy's most luxurious historical getaway. Customized services and additional amenities contribute to the high overall cost.
What is covered in the standard fee? Only breakfast. For a private dinner featuring a gourmet tasting menu prepared in the palazzo's large, opulent kitchen, there is an additional cost of 1,000 euros per person, which includes premium wines.
The descendants of the ancient Borghese family, which includes popes and princes, continue to reside in the palace. While it is possible to book individual rooms, most clients prefer to reserve the entire place for themselves. "We opened this summer, and so far we've had mostly American clients, including young and senior couples and families with children, who choose the buy-out option and exclusively book it for several days, despite the space being available for 12 people," says Samuele Florio, deputy director of Palazzo Vilòn.
He insists on keeping client details private but emphasizes that few have had the opportunity to enjoy this exclusive heavenly palace. Regent Hong Kong: The hotel that redefined luxury for an entire city.

"We offer personalized services that cater to individual demands and time periods. Services include car washes and guided tours to the local fresh produce market, where guests can select their own vegetables, meat, and bread to bring back to the palazzo. They can then either prepare their own meals or participate in cuisine lessons," Florio explains. "Prices may vary depending on the specific requests of each guest."
The deputy director emphasizes that luxury in food doesn't always mean extravagant. Many clients are eager to explore the small shops where locals buy their daily ingredients and experience cooking and eating like a local in the modern kitchen of the palazzo, equipped with state-of-the-art steel equipment similar to that used in the city's Michelin-starred restaurants.
In the Mirrors Hall, candlelit dinners are served on a long table perfect for Renaissance-style banquets. The hall is adorned with bas-reliefs, golden stuccoes, and original Flemish mirrors from the Renaissance era. Florio's team curates the menu and prepares iconic Italian dishes, all being served by a dedicated team of waiters, sommeliers, and cooks.
Florio's team also provides guided tours throughout Rome and all of Italy, but these are considered more standard services that guests would expect to find at any luxury hotel, he explains.
The five-star hotel is located within a UNESCO-listed palace.

With a private garden boasting great views of Rome, the palazzo has been finely re-designed and furnished with a mix of modern and antique pieces.

The palazzo in Rome's historical center offers the ultimate luxury of private parking, sparing guests the hassle of searching for scarce free spots in the neighborhood. Private chauffeurs are also available at the hotel for an extra cost. Despite its grandeur, Florio emphasizes that Palazzo Vilòn is not a museum brought back to life but has always been a private residence, and is now welcoming guests.
Florio mentioned that the previous resident of the palazzo, who lived there until a few years ago, was a well-known Italian film producer. He also highlighted that the palazzo has been perfectly preserved, as it has never been forgotten or left to decay, and has always remained vibrant.
