A recent leak has hinted at the possibility of a new class, the Blood Knight, being added to the roster in Diablo Immortal. This class is expected to resonate with long-time Diablo fans who are familiar with its presence in the previous games. Despite being a mobile spin-off, Diablo Immortal is still very much a part of the Diablo universe. It takes place after the events of Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction but before the events of Diablo 3. The game's storyline revolves around the aftermath of Archangel Tyrael's actions. Following his battle with Baal, Tyrael is presumed dead, and fragments of the Worldstone are scattered across the world. The game's primary antagonist is Skarn, a formidable demon who serves as the final boss in the main questline. Skarn's ultimate goal is to gather the corrupted fragments of the Worldstone in order to resurrect Diablo and bring destruction to the Sanctuary.
According to DataMineARPG, a leaker, the upcoming Diablo Immortal class might be the Blood Knight, a character from the first Diablo game. The Blood Knight is a variant of the Hell Knights and the final Knight class enemy in Diablo 1. Due to its immunity to spells and fire-based attacks, this character is dangerous even in small groups. DataMineARPG shared an image that supposedly depicts the Blood Knight fighting enemies and highlighting the class crest. Although Blizzard previously shared an image of a red-eyed character's silhouette, it has yet to be officially announced what the new Diablo Immortal class will be.
Diablo Immortal currently has six classes: Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard. The new class will be introduced in July, with a specified date of July 13, according to the leaker. In addition to being a strength-based class, which increases the physical damage dealt by the character, the Blood Knight will be added in the upcoming Diablo Immortal update. Furthermore, a new zone named Ancient's Cradle, a creepy island full of new enemy types and rewards to earn in side quests, will also be included.
Despite the controversy surrounding Diablo Immortal's monetization system during its launch, the game is set to celebrate its first anniversary this year with a big event planned by Blizzard. The company has announced the addition of a new zone and class, as well as a crossover between Diablo 4 and Diablo Immortal, which will feature a themed event and battle pass. Moreover, Blizzard is set to explore the origin story of Sanctuary through Diablo Immortal's new zone. With the game now available on both mobile and PC, fans have plenty to look forward to as they continue their journey in the world of Diablo.
