The Journey of Desus Nice
Desus Nice, 42, born in the Bronx, NY, made his way from working laborious jobs at age twelve to hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Daily Show.

Seeing what it takes to get from nothing to something, Desus also emphasized that having 'gratitude' is the fuel to his fire.
Though his career was put on pause due to the year-long SAG-AFTRA strike, Desus made it known that he’s back stronger than ever, and ready to take on his next venture. Having to be discreet due to unpredicted details, Desus did share that his upcoming project is 'really big' and that his face will be 'everywhere.'
The Rise to Stardom
Desus Nice began his career in comedy alongside The Kid Mero when he appeared on Season 5 of MTV’s Guy Code. Soon enough, the duo was staged to host a podcast called The Bodega Boys, where they leaned on comedy to express their thoughts on everything pop-culture.
Desus then went on to gain even more acclaim when he and The Kid Mero began their show, Desus & Mero. Having interviewed musicians, industry personalities, and even former President Barack Obama, Desus was able to grab a hold of enough stardom to launch him into the Hollywood scene.
Although he’s been working in comedy for nearly a decade, Desus admits that 'you have to be a little delusional' to succeed in Hollywood.
Though he’d be willing to stay in Hollywood to host The Daily Show, Desus opened up about what’s next for him. 'I do have a really big project coming out soon and when you guys see it, you’re gonna be all proud of me.'
Future Ventures and Exciting Projects
Though fans will have to wait for an upcoming announcement as to what Desus will be working on next, he did just partner up with TUMS Prop Bites for Super Bowl LVIII where he will help them launch their food betting campaign that will end in multiple people winning cash prizes up to $10,000.
Desus also expressed his willingness to take on a full-time hosting gig for The Daily Show if offered, and shared his excitement about the rotating hosts bringing 'different perspectives' to the show.
He then said that his face is 'going to be everywhere' and empathized that he’s 'going to be back,' as last year’s writer’s strike was 'really rough,' despite it allowing Desus to 'stop and appreciate' what he and others do in the industry.
