Destiny 2 Unveils Exotic Weapon Updates for Season 23

Bungie has provided details on the upcoming Exotic weapon changes that will be introduced in Season 23 of Destiny 2. However, Bungie has now clarified that these changes will be implemented during Destiny 2 Season 23.

Since the release of the Lightfall DLC, Bungie has been actively making adjustments to various aspects of the game. For example, Season of Defiance saw a significant mid-season patch that aimed to balance different weapon archetypes. Additionally, the decision was made not to increase the power level cap in Destiny 2 Season 21, among other updates. In Season 22, Bungie made noticeable enhancements to various Exotic Armor pieces and Guardian abilities. Now, the developer has confirmed that Season 23 will bring further changes to Exotic weapons.

This information was unveiled in an official announcement on the Bungie website. The announcement focused primarily on weapon adjustments intended for PvE activities. Specifically, the post outlined changes to Auto-Rifles, Glaives, Sniper Rifles, and Pulse Rifles. While Auto-Rifles and Glaives will be subject to both positive and negative modifications, Pulse and Sniper Rifles will see overall improvements for PvE activities, potentially solidifying their status as powerful weapons in Destiny 2 Season 23.

Furthermore, the post elaborated on the adjustments being made to several Exotic weapons. For example, the Vex Mythoclast will receive a significant enhancement for PvE, resulting in a 200% increase in damage to Champions when in Linear Fusion Rifle mode. Bungie provided comprehensive details regarding the Thorn Catalyst in Destiny 2, as well as alterations to the class-specific Exotic Glaives. Additionally, improvements are being made to Osteo Striga, Salvation’s Grip, Winterbite, and Revision zero to enhance their effectiveness in PvE activities. The developer also offered insight into upcoming updates after Season 23, specifically mentioning the tuning of Bows for PvP and the notable inventory buffs for Heavy Grenade Launchers.

In addition to these modifications, Destiny 2 Season 23 will introduce a plethora of PvP content, including a new Iron Banner mode called Tribute that will be introduced at some point during the season. Moreover, Bungie is introducing Foundry Weapon focusing in Season 23, allowing players to craft Hakke, Omolon, Veist, and Suros weapons.
