Dermot Mulroney's true passion lies in rock music.
In an exclusive feature with We, the 60-year-old actor shared, "I used to be a member of an acoustic punk band called the Low & Sweet Orchestra and we performed at Lollapalooza in 1995."
Even though he's not performing on stage currently, the Anyone But You star still loves pop punk and emo music. "I'm a big fan of Pierce the Veil, My Chemical Romance and Paramore," he shares with Us. "Looking forward to seeing you at the When We Were Young Festival!"
In case you doubt his punk rock credentials, Mulroney reveals to Us that he almost got kicked out of three music camps when he was younger.
Prior to embracing headbanging, Mulroney honed his skills as a classically trained cellist. In between acting commitments, he devotes himself to collaborating on movie scores and has contributed his cello talents to various soundtracks by acclaimed composer Michael Giacchino, such as Rogue One, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Coco.
In addition, he has also taken on the role of a cello instructor in the past. "I once had the opportunity to give Joanne Woodward a cello lesson while Paul Newman watched and enjoyed a beer," he recounts.
Catch Anyone But You is currently showing in theaters, and below are 25 facts about Mulroney that fans may not be aware of. One of those facts is that he has visited Machu Picchu on the summer solstice and witnessed the sunrise illuminating a spot at the exact center of the floor through the tower window on his son's 19th birthday.
