Dennis Rodman intends to permanently showcase his affection for girlfriend Yella Yella through a facial tattoo. In a YouTube video uploaded on July 8, Yella Yella, 31, shared their plans for the day, expressing her apprehension due to her aversion to needles and witnessing Rodman's decision to tattoo his face.

She exclaimed, "We are all familiar with Dennis Rodman, the rebellious figure covered in tattoos, but what sets this apart is that he intends to have it on his face."

Later on, the 62-year-old basketball legend disclosed to his partner his intention to tattoo a depiction of her face on his cheek.

"I specifically advised him against it. I was like, 'What on earth are you doing?'" she recounted to TMZ Sports during their interview on Saturday. "He's absolutely out of his mind, he's a real daredevil."

As for Rodman, he expressed to the outlet that he wanted to do something extraordinary for the woman he holds dear. "This is my final romantic endeavor with a woman," the retired Chicago Bulls player enthused to TMZ. "She's incredibly wonderful. And I am grateful to her for loving me just the way I am — and that's precisely why I took the leap for her."

Rodman relied on Chicago-based tattoo artist Van Johnson to finish the artwork. "I have the legendary figure in my own place, and we are tattooing his wife's portrait on his face," Johnson stated in the couple's YouTube video, although it is uncertain if they are legally married. "It's like a face portrait on his actual face. Please keep me in your prayers, as I can't afford to make any mistakes." Following Johnson's completion of the tattoo, the couple expressed satisfaction with his skill.

“It was supposed to be way bigger but they made it smaller,” Yella Yella — who is a rap star and a model — told TMZ. “But, that’s cute!”

Rodman chimed in: “It’s real as f—k!”

Rodman boasts an extensive array of tattoos that span his chest, abdomen, arms, and back. During a conversation with Kevin Hart on an episode of Cold as Balls in November 2019, Rodman recalls a confrontation with NBA commissioner David Stern. Stern threatened to expel Rodman if he continued to ink his body. This only served to intensify Rodman's desire, prompting him to get a tattoo that very night and continue to add to his collection alongside piercings.

The NBA eventually recognized the fans' fascination with Rodman's tattoos and began to show their support. "During that time, players weren't known for having tattoos or piercings, or speaking their minds," Rodman explained. "If someone did speak out, they would be fined. As for me, I just let people decide whether they accept it or not."
