Check out the trailer below.

According to the official Netflix synopsis, the show follows a ruthless drug dealer's attempt to control Marseille, while a rebellious police captain and his daring team take on a new recruit with her own agenda.

The newest police series from César-nominated director Olivier Marchal, a former police officer himself, has been released on Netflix on December 6. The series consists of 6 episodes, each running for just under an hour.

Blood Coast cast: Who’s in it?

The main cast of Blood Coast includes:

Tewfik Jallab as Lyes Benemar

Jeanne Goursaud as Alice Vidal

Franck Murillo is portrayed by Nicolas Duvauchelle, known for his roles in films such as Polisse, Inside, and The Second Wind. Additionally, Jallab has appeared in La Marche, Paradise Beach, P.J., and Fast Convoy, while Goursaud can be seen in Barbarians, The Magic Flute, and The 15:17 to Paris.

Is Blood Coast worth watching?

Although Blood Coast has not been rated by critics on Rotten Tomatoes yet, it has garnered an impressive 75% audience rating. Interestingly, there seems to be a disparity between the reviews from the audience and the critics.

Decider's review of "Blood Coast" expressed that the story was more confusing than compelling and the film felt too generic to leave any lasting impression. Meanwhile, Ready Steady Cut's review described it as an easy binge-watch that is not particularly interesting but also not boring.

On the other hand, audience reviews have been much more positive, with one person stating, "It's never dull... it's been a while since I've seen a great series and watched all the episodes in one day. It's a compelling story with very talented actors."

Blood Coast is now streaming on Netflix. Be sure to explore our other Netflix recommendations below:
