During the first week of their relationship, Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey were already thinking ahead and discussing the possibility of naming their future child Matilda. Cuoco, 37, shared with Today.com on Tuesday, November 21, "We looked at each other and it was like, 'Would it be crazy to say if we had a baby we'd name her Matilda?' You know when you first start dating and you're so obsessed, and you're planning your future children. It was that sort of thing."
"Big Bang Theory" star Pelphrey, 41, welcomed their first daughter, Matilda, in March, almost a year after they first met. Cuoco expressed her joy over her daughter's name, describing it as a perfect fit for her. She also revealed that they kept the name a secret until the baby's birth, after learning they were having a girl.
Cuoco's manager introduced her to the Ozark star in April 2022, and she soon realized that she wanted to start a family with him. In a profile for Emmy magazine in May, Cuoco admitted that motherhood was not something she had previously thought about, but after meeting her partner, she knew instantly that she wanted to have a child with him.

She added: “We were both really eager for it, which wasn't something I had expected for my life. I adore my career and just wanted to continue living as I was. But then Tom came into my life, and everything changed. We're not in our 20s, so we felt like we shouldn't wait too long. And then we were incredibly fortunate — it happened right away.”
Cuoco has stated that she does not want to get married again, but her friends believe she may change her mind. After her divorce from Karl Cook in September 2021, following three years of marriage, and her previous marriage to Ryan Sweeting in December 2013, which ended in September 2015, sources say that she was firm in her decision to never marry again. However, her friends believe she may have a change of heart in the future, although she is currently happy with Tom.

The insider revealed that Cuoco and Pelphrey share a lot of laughter and he understands her sense of humor well. "He complements her like no one else can," the source commented on their connection. "He is the ideal partner, father, everything."
