Compared to the initial Blue Beetle trailer, the latest one focuses more on action and highlights Jaime's journey in harnessing the power of the Scarab. While there are hints of similarity to Iron Man, the film draws inspiration from Spider-Man: Homecoming, as Peter Parker also grappled with understanding the advanced technology embedded in his suit courtesy of Tony Stark, along with its integrated AI assistant. However, Blue Beetle takes this concept to a new level, since Jaime's suit is derived from advanced alien technology.
The second Blue Beetle trailer puts a focus on Jaime's relationship with the Scarab. In the comics and different DC media, such as Young Justice, their dynamic has not always been smooth, with Jaime not always welcoming the Scarab's presence.
