Damian Hurley Reveals He Shares Clothes With Mom Elizabeth Hurley

Damian Hurley, 22, revealed in an interview with The Sunday Times on March 31 that he and his mom Elizabeth Hurley are very close. They are so close that they even share clothes.

According to Damian, he often steals his mom's leather trousers because they are the same size. He also mentioned that they both love oversized blazers, and his mom doesn't hesitate to take any big blazers that catch her eye.

Damian and Hurley, 58, have a history of dressing alike. In 2019, Damian paid tribute to his mother by wearing a black blazer adorned with gold safety pins, inspired by her famous Versace dress from the '90s. (Hurley had Damian in 2002 with businessman Stephen Bing.)

Hurley made a statement at the 1994 premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral in the iconic dress, accompanied by then-boyfriend Hugh Grant. The striking black dress featured a plunging neckline and was held together at the sides by large gold safety pins.

Hurley shared with We in October 2023 that wearing the dress was painless. She mentioned that it was a unique experience for her because she had never borrowed clothing before. At that time, Versace was not well-known in England and did not have a publicity office in London.

Elizabeth also confessed to Us that the dress was her first encounter with couture. She mentioned, "When I tried it on, I was amazed. But then I thought, 'Will this dress allow me to move?'" She recalled, "It was my first time wearing couture, and surprisingly, it was not restrictive. Before leaving the house, I tested it by bending down, touching my toes, and moving around, and to my delight, nothing budged. I knew it was going to be comfortable."

Donatella Versace described the dress as one of the most famous red carpet dresses in history in August 2019. She mentioned that people worldwide started talking about the dress, which made her realize the power of the red carpet and celebrities in sparking conversations.

Following in his mother's footsteps, Damian has ventured into modeling and directing. He recently directed his mother Elizabeth's new thriller, Strictly Confidential. In a conversation with The Sunday Times in March, Hurley shared that growing up in the entertainment industry has made him less starstruck by celebrities.

"I've never really been starstruck," he mentioned. Growing up around industry giants has made him quite composed. However, Damian did make an exception when he had the opportunity to work with Naomi Campbell in a modeling campaign. He referred to her as a "family friend."

Sharing a valuable lesson he learned from Campbell, Damian recounted, "She really taught me something interesting. When you're looking into the camera, you should have two thoughts in mind - either 'f–k me' or 'f–k you'." According to him, this is true for every model in the world.
