Highlights

Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update still has minor bugs, like police officers driving around in completely destroyed vehicles.

Since its disastrous launch, the game has seen significant improvement thanks to the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC and the 2.0 update. Despite the presence of bugs, there has been a notable improvement in the sentiment surrounding Cyberpunk 2077, and CD Projekt Red is actively addressing the remaining issues as the game continues to develop.

During the 2.0 update of Cyberpunk 2077, some minor bugs still remain, such as police officers driving around in completely destroyed vehicles. Developer CD Projekt Red has been diligently working on improving the game since its disastrous launch in 2020, and the 2.0 update, along with the Phantom Liberty DLC, demonstrates their continuous efforts. With these improvements, Cyberpunk 2077 has experienced a resurgence in popularity, especially with the release of the extensive Phantom Liberty story expansion and new 2.0 features. The DLC introduces players to a new area of Night City called Dogtown, where the majority of the 15-20 hour DLC story takes place. Additionally, the impressive 2.0 update revamps the game's skill tree and perks systems, enhances enemy AI, and introduces a comprehensive vehicular combat system.

Despite the numerous bug fixes and improved stability that have been introduced to Cyberpunk 2077 over the years, including the recent 2.0 update, it appears that encountering some minor bugs is still inevitable in such a large RPG. One Reddit user by the name of Crowzer pointed out a minor bug they have been experiencing, which involves Night City police officers patrolling the city in heavily damaged squad cars. In the image shared by Crowzer, the police car, occupied by two officers, is missing all four doors, its wheels, and is severely burned.

In the comments section of the Reddit post, Crowzer mentioned having two mods installed that could potentially be responsible for this issue. However, another user added that they have encountered the same bug three times within a span of 20 hours without any mods installed. This led to the theory that the bug is inherent to the game itself and not caused by mods. The theory gained further support when another player mentioned experiencing the bug after starting a new game with the 2.0 update applied. This player expressed a preference for these amusing yet smaller bugs to be fixed, but also expressed a hint of sadness at their potential disappearance.

This glitched police car is not a major bug compared to the severe game-breaking bugs Cyberpunk 2077 faced when it was initially released in December 2020. The overall opinion of the RPG has significantly improved since then. Hopefully, CD Projekt Red will address the remaining minor bugs as the game nears its final state and as they shift their focus to The Witcher 4 and a sequel to Cyberpunk.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The Phantom Liberty and 2.0 update are exclusively available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
