Recap of Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! episode 1
The first episode of "Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!" opens with the main character, Tsubasa Shiki, making his way to Japan's northernmost prefecture, Hokkaido, from his hometown of Tokyo for family reasons. As he takes in the snow-covered scenery, the freezing cold weather takes him by surprise. To make matters worse, he gets out of his taxi at the wrong location, only to encounter a "Gyaru" girl bundled up in a scarf, jacket, and short skirt.
Shiki is taken aback when he sees a girl with bare legs, especially in the cold region of Hokkaido. However, he soon learns that his destination is quite far, and he will need to walk for at least three hours to reach it. Fortunately, he is able to catch a bus.

The blonde girl discovers that Shiki is from Tokyo, sparking her curiosity. They also realize they attend the same school. When the bus arrives, the girl introduces herself as Fuyuki Minami.
The following day, Tsubasa Shiki starts at his new school as a transfer student and encounters the Gyaru girl, Minami. She kindly offers him a blanket to warm up and, in return, invites him for a walk.
Minami inquires about the protagonist's relationship status, favorite dating spots in Tokyo, and other aspects of his hometown. She becomes envious of the abundance of fun places in Tokyo, compared to people in Hokkaido who usually meet at home.

After that, the blonde girl invites Tsubasa to her home the next day, catching him off guard. He can't refuse and ends up at her house where she reveals she's alone, as both her parents are out. What follows is an awkward and uncomfortable visit, with Minami making bold moves that make Tsubasa uneasy. She suggests watching a movie together, but ends up falling asleep halfway through. She apologizes later and takes Tsubasa to Seicomart, promising to buy him a meal.
